The Lowdown

Drum shades such as these provide a gentle, pool of atmospheric light directed up and down, as opposed to a directional task light. Simply lined with white, fire retardant PVC, these red lampshades will glow when illuminated, throwing the stitch detailing into sharp relief thereby creating a different pattern come nightfall – as well as bright colour by day. Use low-energy bulbs to reduce heat generation (40-watt max).
