A botanical, country garden wallpaper showcasing a quintessentially English landscape surrounding a charming, Sussex, Arts & Crafts house, originally designed by the architect Philip Webb. 

The Lowdown

The hand-printed wallpaper was created in-house at the Rapture & Wright studio. The print was the result of a restoration project at the house with which the design studio was involved. The pattern depicts the gables, chimneys and windows of the Arts & Crafts property surrounded by mature trees and distinctive flowering shrubs in a magical, garden setting.

How to style your country garden wallpaper?

In this pretty pale blue and sage green colourway, the design provides a brilliant foil for an elegant scheme of soft greens, cream and warm neutrals. First of all, soften and cosy up your space with textural layering. Hence, we’re thinking a palette of tan leather, buff, cream and off-white encompassing velvets, linens, silks and woollens. These might take the form of cushions, upholstery, rugs, drapes or throws. Perhaps add some white-washed furniture. Preferably vintage French or Scandinavian styles with painted show-wood detailing and elegant, sinuous silhouettes. Alternatively, the warm tones of vintage wooden antiques will add soul and depth to the scheme. On the other hand, you might choose to mix this up with more directional, modern pieces. Remember too that bold pattern always looks twice as strong over large areas.
