This chic, drum-style, green patterned lampshade adds leafy, neutral hues plus pink and blue accents. The vertical, stitched motif and wide bands of darker, neutral colour add detail and interest. The fabric was sourced from the textile markets of South East Asia.

The Lowdown

Drum shades such as these provide a gentle, pool of atmospheric light directed up and down, as opposed to a directional task light. Simply lined with white, fire retardant PVC, these red lampshades will glow when illuminated, throwing the stitch detailing into sharp relief thereby creating a different pattern come nightfall – as well as a curious and unique colour combination by day. Use low-energy bulbs to reduce heat generation (40-watt max).
