These drum-style, indigo patterned lampshades would make a striking addition to any room scheme. Delicate, block-print indigo detailing with woven stripes in hot pink and orange. The fabric was sourced from the textile markets of Chiangmai in northern Thailand.

The Lowdown

Drum shades such as these provide a gentle, pool of atmospheric light directed up and down, as opposed to a directional task light. They are simply lined with white, fire-retardant PVC, to enable the lampshade to glow when illuminated and will throw the pattern into sharp relief thereby adding real decorative punch come nightfall – as well as colour & pattern by day. Use low-energy bulbs to reduce heat generation (40-watt max).

Our standard size for these indigo patterned lampshades is 25cm in diameter x 28cm in height (as shown here). Please email us for a quote, should you wish to order specific dimensions. The height of these lampshades is limited to the width of the fabric bolt, so bespoke versions can be 28cm tall at most. This also maximises the use of the fabric. However, we can also make shallower shades should you wish. All lampshades are handmade to order. Please note these lampshades showcase unique, handmade textiles and as such, there may be slight imperfections in the print/weave. This is all part of their artisanal appeal.
